A primary, yet often uncomfortable role for adoptive parents is the need for them to communicate difficult information to their child. This training looks at the process of communication and the impact of the child’s history on their ability to communicate and the importance of you as their secure base.
Telling the tough stuff aims to enable adoptive parents to feel confident in communicating with children and young people through various mediums that engages the child and encourages effective two-way communication.
