Teenage years are a time of great change.
Adopters are a vital link to providing teens with a Secure Base that is crucial for them to make a successful transition to adulthood. Yet there are considerable challenges for adopters and their families.
This training looks to bring understanding of the implications of a young person’s personal history, brain development and the impact of abuse and trauma on their presenting behaviour. It looks to give the carers the insight, skills and tools needed to be able to navigate this very crucial period of development of a young person.
