Ms Teams | 10:30am – 11:30am
Catherine Griffiths – FASD Cymru
The course will enable adopters to find out about Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and how common it is in the UK. This session will include how alcohol alters the development of the foetus and how learning and behaviour of the individual are affected as a result. Some useful strategies for home and school will be discussed, as well as overlaps with other forms of neurodiversity, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.
“Such an interesting course. Short yet informative. Having a trainer who has first-hand experiences of living with a young person with the disorder makes it very real.” – Adoptive Parent, Mid & West Wales
